The library is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 3.30 pm except for a brief closure at lunch between 1 and 1.20 pm.
Pupils are free to use the library at break, lunch and before and after school, so long as a member of staff is present and the library hasn’t been booked for something else.
During school time, the library may be fully occupied by a class, but if there is free space, other pupils are welcome to use it. To do this you need to:
- get a yellow slip signed by the teacher whose class you have come from OR
- get the slip signed by the Senior Study Room Supervisor, if you are normally there (If there is no-one supervising study, you need a slip from a member of SMT, Guidance or the subject teacher whose work you will be doing.)
- ask permission of the library staff and any teacher already using the library with a class.
Please check with library staff if you would like to stay back and work late after school
